Uptowners were treated to an action-packed meeting today! First, we went through a run-down of everything our club has been busy with. We just dropped off two RYLA campers for an amazing week, updates on Men Who Cook, our Firehouse adoption, the Dictionary Project, our upcoming hosting of a District Round Table, the District Awards dinner, and more. Then, we welcomed a new member and enjoyed an excellent speaker. Whew!
Today, we welcomed Christina Cone to the Dallas-Uptown family. We are so glad you are here, Christina!!!
Then, Judge Ken Tapscott, County Court at Law No. 4, spoke about that amazing document, the Constitution of the United States of America. He gave a very engaging talk from an interesting perspective: He is charged, as a judge, with executing the laws of our country. Thank you, Judge Tapscott, for your service!
