Rotary Club of Dallas-Uptown

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Rotary’s motto is “Service above self.” At the Rotary Club of Dallas-Uptown we are committed to meeting the needs of our communities. Through diverse outreach programs such as cleaning local parks, providing lunches to a local fire station, and distributing dictionaries to school children, we help Uptown Dallas thrive and grow. Through Rotary International and the Rotary International Foundation, we support global projects like eradicating disease, providing clean water, and offering educational opportunities worldwide.

LIFELONG RELATIONSHIPS
We proudly call ourselves the “Exclusively Inclusive” Rotary Club. We aspire for our membership to reflect the rich diversity of the heart of Dallas we serve, welcoming and serving all equally and enthusiastically. As hard as we work at our community service, we also are committed to friendship and fun both at weekly lunch meetings and monthly get-togethers throughout the city.

CONNECT WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS
Our vision is focused on helping the community, but we also use our weekly meetings as a learning opportunity. We invite community and cultural leaders to discuss pertinent issues, introduce local resources, and highlight problems that need our attention. In addition, our members represent a rich variety of professional and personal experience that allows for endless networking possibilities. Every meeting is an adventure in expanding our horizons and finding new avenues for service.

JOIN US!
We always welcome visitors, whether they be casual or curious tourists or long-term Rotarians looking for a new club. We invite you to get to know us through our volunteer work, weekly meetings, or at our social events. We are happy to see you in every venue.

Our Signature Event - Men Who Cook

Fun, Food, and a Cause

A casual event featuring master chefs, local celebrities, and regular guys preparing bite-sized samples of their famous recipes.

While you enjoy the abundant and delicious sweets and savories, your evening also includes:

  • Live music
  • Silent Auction
  • Wine Pull
  • A chance to help your community!
Our Signature Project - Dictionaries

The goal of our dictionary project is to assist all students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them with their own personal dictionary.

The dictionaries are a gift to each student to use at school and at home for years to come. Educators see third grade as the dividing line between learning to read and reading to learn, so we give dictionaries to nearly 2,000 DISD students each year.
